Choir Corner ![]() On eagle’s wings. Bear you on the breath of dawn, Make you to shine like the sun, And hold you in the palm of His hand. Many of you will recognize these words from the anthem “On Eagle’s Wings.” Our readings for February 21st – the first Sunday in Lent – include Psalm 91, which provides the words for this anthem. Obviously, it’s a great opportunity for the choir to sing it. Also coming up are “Cantata Domino” by Anna Page; “How Great Is Our God” (which contains the hymn “How Great Thou Art”) by Chris Tomlin, Ed Cash, and Jesse Reedes, deftly arranged by Jack Schrader. During Lent we will again sing “The Prayer” and “How Beautiful.” Jan Apland left for California for a few weeks. I’m going to be in Florida from January 27th through February 3rd. John Niemet will once again fill in for me on Sunday, January 31st. I just hope you enjoyed our anthem on January 24th, “Down in the Valley to Pray” because Joyce McNeil did the solo at the end – beautifully! As always ~ Yours in Song, Pat Cotsakis, Director of Music ![]() |
