Opportunities. Sometimes we miss them and sometimes we take full advantage of them; “church,” as in life, is no different. Since I have been with you I have seen people join in the many opportunities and challenges offered where we explore how Jesus Christ is working in our lives:
* an Easter service where the balcony was used
* an ongoing mission project (pop tabs for Ronald Mc Donald)
* fellowship (every Sunday morning, Mother-Daughter Banquet, Choir, Guild Gals, projects, Church Picnic)
* taking in new members
* Bartlett Summerfest (the preschool and church shared a space)
* the “Challenge,” along with other generous donations of time, talent, and resources (new floors and paint in the Educational Building bathrooms, for example).
Opportunities. In addition to worship on Sunday mornings, consider these:
* Any of the Ministry Boards (Worship, Christian Education, Buildings and Grounds, Stewardship, Activities, Outreach)
* Choir
* Rally Day (YOU are an important “piece” in God’s Kingdom; did someone mention Ice Cream?)
* Confirmation Program (Will YOU be a mentor for one of our youth?)
* Book study The Bad Girls of the Bible (order your copy!)
* Yoga classes
* Harvest Fest
* Blessing of the Animals
Opportunities arise, choices are made. Where is Jesus opening up doors for you?
